BJP government will fall after June 1 voting, claims Abhishek Banerjee
One person was killed and another injured after they fell from the Howrah-bound Ispat Express near Chakradharpur railway station in West Singhbhum, railway officials said on Sunday.
The incident took place at about 1:30 pm when 12872 down Titlagarh–Howrah Ispat Express was crossing Lota Pahar railway station and heading towards Chakradharpur.
Manish Kumar Pathak, Chief Commercial Officer, Chakradharpur Division, SER Railway Division, said, “The injured passenger stated that he was sitting on the footboard of the main compartment. The train jerked while crossing Lota Pahar and passengers standing at the gate lost their balance. He grabbed the collar of the passenger who was sitting on the footrest. They both fell out.”
The deceased, in his thirties, could not be identified.
